Moog Rekofa is a German company that has been producing innovative transmission technologies for over 100 years. It is now integrated into the American parent company Moog Inc. A German producer of slip rings and a group of companies in India that manufactures tools and automotive components.
Customised constructions
In addition to standard systems, Moog Rekofa offer to customers a development service right from the start of their project. Their in-house Design and Research & Development departments allow to find an optimum solution for almost all customer requirements.
They generally plan with standard products or new developments based on them. This often results in synergies between tried-and-tested systems and current developments. All products can be combined with each other. Slip rings with up to 600 independent conductor rails, combined variants with power and signal current plus data and media distributors have already been realized.

Slip rings, also known as rotary distributors or rotary transmitters, are electromechanical products that are used to transmit currents, electrical signals or media from a stationary to an endlessly rotating component.
Rotary distributors are used wherever a rotary movement greater than 360° is required and a drag chain significantly restricts the angle. A slip rings usually consists of a slip ring body and a current collector – usually as a hybrid solution and with additional encapsulation up to IP69K.

Their team accepted the challenge and developed an innovative and reliable product family which is on top, because off high standardization, very cost effective.
Most notable benefit of Moog Rekofa’s design is the flexibility of the cable reel. Customers can customize to their specific requirements while still maintaining the quality and performance expected, making Moog Rekofa’s product family available for a wide range of customers and applications.
Their spring-driven cable reels are designed for use in harsh conditions in the construction machinery and crane industry and mount ship winches or motorized cable reels in port cranes, for example. Motor-driven cable reels with non-contact fiber optic rotary unions have been developed for special applications such as remote-controlled robots (EOD). Customers from the fire department and automotive sectors also already rely on the ergonomic and compact cable reels with integrated slip rings from Rekofa.
